The Jewellery Quarter Common Room is excited to announce the opening of applications for its new Microgrant Programme, totalling £22,500.00, designed to support the vibrant community of artists, craftspeople, and businesses in the Jewellery Quarter. This initiative is made possible by a generous grant from Birmingham City Council and funded by Enterprise Zones, aimed at fostering innovation and community engagement in the area.
Key Dates and Details:
- First Application Round: Opens 26 March 2025 and closes 11 April 2025
- Second Application Round: Scheduled to open on 23 May 2025 and closes 13 June 2025
The Microgrant Programme is divided into two categories: Capital and Revenue grants. Capital grants will focus on the acquisition, improvement, or maintenance of physical assets that provide long-term benefits. Revenue grants are aimed at supporting projects that engage the community and generate ongoing income.
Grant Availability:
- JQ Lates Grant: £100 max to facilitate opening for JQ Lates
- Small Grant: £101 – £200
- Medium Grant: £201 – £500
- Large Grant: £501 – £1000
Local businesses, artists, and craftspeople based in the Jewellery Quarter are invited to apply. Applicants are encouraged to propose projects that not only enhance their own practices but also contribute positively to the community.
